Dear Families,
We are beginning our project on Rome. This project is due one week from when it was assigned.
A Day -- Project Due 1/20/16
B Day -- Project Due 1/21/16
MOST students finished their in-class required research on the day it was assigned. Ms. Kirby and I worked very hard with them on this task, using the textbook, our online sources through our PortaPortal site, and also good-old-fashioned encyclopedias. We also worked with them on their citations.
Next, the students have to begin work on their projects. Assignment information are uploaded on the Classwork and Assignments Page.
Please talk to your child about this assignment, and ask to see their research. They will be completing most of their project at home. PLEASE do not go out a spend a great deal of money on this project. The informational part of the project will be scored higher than the actual model/paper doll/magazine cover/ or costumed monologue. An intricate balsa wood model of the Colosseum will not score well if it does not have good, factual information with it. Supplies for this project can most likely be found around your house!
Thanks so much, and we look forward to seeing your child's work!
Sincerely,
Beth Tyler
